John’s passion is turning your basic words into a personal speech that is fun, heart-felt and memorable. While political, corporate and key note addresses were once his bread and butter trade, John’s real talent and joy lies in his ability to take the thoughts and basic words of the average person and turn them into something truly remarkable.
As part of the process, John will ‘interview’ you to ensure you have thought of everything you want to say and that you will say it to the best effect. He will shape what you tell him into a 5-10 minute speech that will for all intents and purposes come straight from your heart.
It will make your contribution to the evening or event memorable and loved by those who matter.
John in particular specializes in groom, best man, father of the bride, maid of honour and master of ceremonies speeches; but anyone who wants to speak at a wedding will benefit from his talent and expertise.
John is also does corporate communications and ghost writing work through his own business, is a senior consultant with a national and global corporate communications firm and provides online content for a national search engine optimization advertising company.
For some people the hardest thing they will have to do is speak in public. That’s where Emma and her speech coaching can play a major role in helping you make an address that is professional and memorable.
An actress for most of her young life, Emma has a natural ability to put people at ease and get the most out of their voice and personality.
She has completed eight years of drama classes, was a La Boîte Theatre ambassador and committee member, was a member of the 20-strong Queensland Theatre Company Youth Ensemble (for which more than 300 young people across the state auditioned) and has been part of multiple shows at Brisbane Arts Theatre as an actor or assistant director. She was offered a position in the University of Southern Queensland acting course but declined in favour of other pursuits.
Emma is no slouch when it comes to writing either. She completed tertiary-level English Extension while still in high school and finished in the top three per cent for English in Grade 12.
She accepted into and began a Creative and Professional Course at the Queensland University of Technology but has deferred to gain a ‘bit of life experience’. When not helping out John Reynolds, Writer for Hire, as a speech coach and junior writer she works for a national online search engine optimisation group as a writer and content provider.
